Opportunity:

RN - ICU (Float Pool)

Job Details:

* 12-hour rotating day and night shifts (7:00 AM?7:30 PM / 7:00 PM?7:30 AM)
* 36-hour work week with 3 shifts per week based on operational need
* Schedule cycles of 4 weeks may alternate between day and night shifts depending on unit need
* Float pool position - must have ability to float to all TCUs, ICUs, ED, and PACU across multiple campuses
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patients served: adults and geriatrics
* Minimum 4 years of recent ICU experience required
* ECMO experience within the last 6 months to 1 year required
* Experience caring for ECMO patients as a bedside RN with primary ECMO responsibility (without dedicated bedside perfusion support) required
* HARD STOP: All travelers must have verified experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheters
* CVICU, CTICU, or CCU experience required
* Minimum 2.5 years of recent adult medical/surgical critical care RN experience
* Ability to independently manage complex critical care patients required
* Strong interpersonal communication skills required
* Travel nursing experience of 1 year or less within the past 5 years required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Strongly preferred experience: VA ECMO, VV ECMO, V-PA ECMO, CRRT (NxStage), IABP (Teleflex), Impella, Ventricular Assist Devices, Heart Failure/Cardiogenic Shock, Pulmonary Artery Catheters, Prostacyclin Therapies, Cardiothoracic surgery recovery, Heart and Lung Transplant Recovery, and Bridge to Transplant
* Highly desirable: Academic Medical Center experience and simultaneous management of multiple support devices (e.g., ECMO + CRRT, ECMO + Impella, ECMO + IABP)
* Charting system: Epic (preferred)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, AHA BLS
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
* 24 orientation hours
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and more
