Opportunity:

Surgical Technologist

Job Details:

* Day shift, 10-hour shifts
* Heart experience required
* EPIC experience required
* Facilitate physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures
* Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures
* Ensure quality patient care during operative procedures and monitor maintenance of the sterile field
* Verify surgery to be performed with consent forms and bring patient to assigned operating room
* Pass instruments to surgeon during procedure and anticipate surgeon's needs for additional supplies
* Perform appropriate counts with circulator prior to operation and before incision is closed
* Prepare and secure sterile dressings after incision closure
* Check, obtain, and set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure
* Help drape sterile field and clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization
* Assist other team members with room cleaning for turnover and preparation for next patient
* Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology required
* Minimum two years of recent experience in field required
* Current BLS certification required
* National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certification preferred
* Relevant acute care experience preferred
