Job Details:

* Float position assigned to the Emergency Department
* Evening/Night shift hours with 12-hour shifts
* Weekend and holiday rotation required
* Experience working in an Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred
* Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
* Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
* Document according to standards of care
* Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
* Develop, initiate, and execute patient plans of care according to individualized patient needs
* Provide patient and family instruction as directed by physician and/or clinic policy
* Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
* Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units and departments in support of patient longitudinal plans of care
* Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating appropriately through chain of command
* Participate in professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, decisions, and peer review process
* Active IL RN Licensure required at time of submission
* Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
