Opportunity:

RN - Neuro/Surgical Telemetry

Job Details:

* Position is on a Neuro/Surgical Telemetry floor
* Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* No on-call required, but may be required to float to other MS/Tele units or ICU (low acuity)
* 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule required
* Must be willing to work holidays as assigned
* Patient ratios: 4-5 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
* Unit serves adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include neuro and telemetry patients
* 1 year of MS/Tele experience required; travel experience preferred
* Epic experience within the last 12 months required and must be clearly documented on submission profile
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
* Active TN or compact license required
* Skills include: telemetry monitoring, neuro stepdown care, CVA management, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, tracheostomy care/management, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, pre/post neurosurgery care, traumatic brain injury management, spinal cord injury care, wound care/wound vac, PCA management, phlebotomy, and use of rapid response/code teams

Facility:

This facility operates a dedicated Neuro/Surgical Telemetry unit with 31 beds and a daily census of 30 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The facility utilizes Epic as its electronic health records system and maintains robust support resources to ensure high-quality patient care.
