Job Details:
* 3x12 day shifts with block scheduling
* 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period required
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS*, PALS*
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Float required based on schedule
* Required skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVVHD/CRRT, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Special equipment: CRRT (NXXT Stage)
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This facility operates a Medical-Surgical ICU with a daily census of 14 patients, 12 rooms, and 16 beds. The unit provides comprehensive critical care services for adult and geriatric patients and is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
