Open Position: PT - Physical Therapist Acute Care

Job Details:

* 8 or 10-hour shift options available
* Weekend rotation required with full-time therapy staff
* No on-call requirements
* No floating between units
* 1:1 patient ratio
* Patients include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Acute care experience is required - minimum 1 year
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certification: BLS
* Skills required include: acute care, orthopedics, neurology, gait training, post-operative care (cervical surgery, shoulder repair, spinal surgery), total hip and knee replacement, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, post-stroke rehabilitation, and patient/family education
* Must be proficient with gait belts, hospital beds/specialty beds, sliding boards, and bed alarms
* Dress code: solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire (print tops not acceptable)
* Free parking available in designated employee/visitor surface parking lots
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* May be expected to float between nearby sister facilities - refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours

This short-term acute care facility operates with 379 staffed beds and holds a Level II Trauma Center designation. The facility provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy services and utilizes Epic as its charting system. The organization maintains high standards for patient care across multiple departments serving adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
