Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
* On-call required: up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks
* Weekend requirement: up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks
* Holiday coverage required: must work at least one holiday period (Christmas: December 24?26 or New Year's: December 31?January 1)
* Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called off hours can be broken down to add up to 1 shift
* Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience strongly preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS, Radiation Badge (to be provided by agency)
* Level 1 trauma experience required
* Scrub experience strongly preferred
* RNs are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
* Surgical specialties include Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics
* Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Block scheduling available pending manager approval based on unit needs
* Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis within a 60-mile radius

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The Main Operating Room features 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties. The nursing team consists of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists. The department is a busy and dynamic nurse-driven environment that provides cutting-edge technology and interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
