Opportunity:
Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN
Job Details:
* Work 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
* Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
* Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
* Float pool position with no home unit - will float to all Pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
* Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
* Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
* ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
* Required skills include: Anti-Seizure Medications, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, care/maintenance of acute airway, Central Line/Implanted Line care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, infection control/PPE, interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, management of chest tubes, management of dysrhythmias, pediatric dosage calculations, and PICC line management
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and more
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Block schedule available with manager approval based on unit needs
* During hurricane season (June through November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

This pediatric specialty facility offers a comprehensive range of critical care services across multiple specialized units, including cardiovascular pediatric ICU, neonatal ICU, and pediatric ICU. The facility is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries.
