Opportunity:
Radiology Tech - CT/X-Ray
Job Details:
* Primary assignment in X-ray with rotation into CT
* 3x12 shifts with potential to accommodate 4x10 shifts if needed
* Typically Monday through Friday schedule with weekend coverage when weekend staff have PTO or unexpected absences
* No on-call responsibilities
* Holiday rotation required, typically 50-75% of holidays during contract
* Schedule runs in 6-week increments set by manager
* Average patient census of 25-30 patients per day
* Work with CT patients including ED, outpatient, and inpatient populations, primarily adult/geriatric with some pediatrics
* CT case types include oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, trauma, biopsies (training provided), and cardiac CTA (training provided)
* Work with X-ray patients including outpatient, inpatient, ED/ICU/MedSurg, and operating room
* X-ray duties include fluoroscopy, C-arm in OR, and ortho/trauma cases
* May float between CT, X-ray, OR, and bedside portables
* 1 year of CT experience required; X-ray training available if skills need refreshing
* First-time travelers accepted
* IV start skills and biopsy experience highly preferred
* OR/C-arm and fluoroscopy experience highly preferred but not required; must be comfortable being trained in these areas
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT (R) - CT, Maine State License
* EMR: Cerner
* PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
* CT Equipment: Siemens X.Cite and GE 16-slice PET CT (used as backup); experience with Siemens and GE preferred but not required
* X-ray Equipment: Siemens, T-Rad with Siemens ART PIX, Cannon Ultimax Hybrid C-arm, Phillips C-arm, OEC C-arm, and various mobile units
* Scrub color: Any solid color scrubs or hospital-issued scrubs
* Free parking available on-site
Facility:
This is an 89-licensed-bed teaching facility offering a full range of imaging services including CT, PET CT, and X-ray. The imaging department is supported by a lead technologist, internal transport staff, and radiologists both on-site and available remotely. The facility is committed to training and professional development, offering orientation of 1 to 1.5 weeks based on the individual's comfort level.
