Opportunity:

CNA - Inpatient Acute Care

Job Details:

* Inpatient acute care experience required
* Must hold a Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) certification from the state of Pennsylvania
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, meeting American Heart Association standards for Healthcare Providers, renewed every two years
* Provide direct patient care including basic hygienic care such as bathing, oral hygiene, and skin care
* Assist patients with activities of daily living including getting in and out of bed, feeding, and dressing/undressing
* Take and record vital signs, height, and weight as directed
* Accurately measure and record intake and output
* Perform Bedside Glucose (BSG) testing
* Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer processes
* Respond to patient call lights and relay messages appropriately to team leader or charge nurse
* Prepare and transport patients as directed
* Maintain safe patient environment including keeping side rails up and ensuring call bells and necessary articles are within patient reach
* Assist with indirect patient care including resupplying stock, delivering specimens to the lab, and answering telephones
* Document all care provided accurately and report changes in patient physical or mental function to team leader or charge nurse
