Opportunity:
MLT/MLS - Laboratory
Job Details:
* Blood Bank and Microbiology experience preferred
* Perform analyses on blood and other body fluids for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease
* Maintain proficiency to work in all clinical departments of the laboratory
* Prepare specimens for processing including accurate identification, logging, and entering patient information
* Process and analyze specimens using manual or automated methods to determine qualitative or quantitative results
* Ensure quality control criteria are met before releasing any reports
* Review results for accuracy and completeness before releasing
* Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment daily
* Assist with training of technical personnel as requested
* Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance activities
* Perform specimen collection duties with verified patient identification
* Maintain sufficient inventory of departmental reagents and supplies
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
* Certified MT or MLS with ASCP, AMT, NCCLS or equivalent certification required
* Works under general supervision from Medical Director, Manager, Supervisors, and Section Heads
