Opportunity:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Details:
* Rotating start times between 5:30 AM - 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM
* 8 to 10 hour shifts depending on schedule
* No weekends required
* No on-call required
* No holiday expectations
* See an average of 8 to 10 patients per day; when performing PET CT scans, maximum of 5 patients per day
* Work with ED, outpatient, and inpatient patient types
* Perform DEXA scans, cardiac scans, stress rest tests, HIDA scans, renal scans, bone scans, and PET CT scans
* Work alongside a lead tech with 2 techs on per shift, internal transport, and an on-site radiologist
* Fixed location with no floating required
* 2 weeks of orientation provided, dependent on skillset and comfort level
* EMR: Cerner; PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
* Equipment used: Siemens dual head camera and GE IQ PET CT
* Scrub color: any solid color as long as professional, or provided by facility if needed
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: BLS, NMTCB or ARRT (NM)
* Dosimeter (dose reader badge) required
* Maine state license required
* Minimum 1 year of experience accepted; additional experience preferred
* First-time travelers accepted

This teaching facility operates with 89 licensed beds and features a dedicated imaging department with 3 nuclear medicine rooms, including a Gamma Camera, Stress Room, and PET CT. The facility provides a collaborative work environment supported by a lead technologist, on-site radiologist, and internal transport services, ensuring comprehensive patient care across emergency, outpatient, and inpatient settings.
