Opportunity:

PET Technologist

Job Details:

* Work 5x8-hour shifts with varying start times between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM and varying end times between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM
* No holiday shifts required
* No on-call requirements
* Weekend coverage may be required on Saturdays up to twice a month if needed due to camera downtime or excessive backlog
* No floating between service lines or sister facilities
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Level I and Level II trauma experience preferred
* Experience with Siemens equipment/scanner required
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Charting system: Epic (preferred)
* Scrub color: Teal top and black pants
* Parking cost applies on nights and weekends only with a one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass
* Perform a wide range of PET/CT scans including nuclear cardiology, bone scans, brain scans, PET scans, HIDA scans, renal scans, and more
* Serve patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Skills required include starting and maintaining IVs, drawing venous blood, storing/handling/disposal of radioactive materials, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Required certifications: BLS, NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N), NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or ARRT(CT), and SCRQSA state license in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography

Facility:

This facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center with 865 staffed beds. It offers a comprehensive range of advanced medical services and supports a wide variety of patient populations from neonates to geriatrics. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and is equipped with Siemens imaging technology to support high-level diagnostic and nuclear medicine services.
