Open Position: Lab Specialist - Lab Tech

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $1867.60

Opportunity:

Histology Tech

Job Details:

* Work 13-week contract assignment
* Schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM
* Minimum of 2 years of experience within histology specialty required
* ASCP (HT/HLT) certification required
* Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences required
* Receive and accession specimens into Cerner system
* Collect blocks from PA staff and process tissue
* Perform embedding, cutting, and staining of slides
* Work within Pathology Laboratory department alongside Pathology, Cytology, and IHC teams
* Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day
* Must also work 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
* No local candidates within 50 miles considered

The laboratory department encompasses Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) services, utilizing modern systems to support comprehensive diagnostic workflows.
