Opportunity:
RN - Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
* 13 or 26 week contracts available
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First time travelers accepted
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
* Staffing ratio of 1:1-3
* Float required to Post-Partum and possibly Labor & Delivery at sister facility based on skill set
* Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, and adults
* Care for patients with labor and preterm labor diagnoses
* Work in a unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
* Perform circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrub, low risk antepartum, and low risk labor & delivery duties
* Required procedures include blood and blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
* Attend all deliveries including high risk deliveries
* Support GYN surgeries, couplet care, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery
* Required skills include anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, assisting with high risk delivery, circulating for C-sections, epidural anesthesia, high risk antepartum, insulin drips, labor and delivery, magnesium sulfate therapy, maintaining central lines, pain assessment and management, recovering C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, and wound assessment and care
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
