Opportunity:

Cardiac Mechanical Support Coordinator

Job Details:

* Work 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (or 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM), Monday through Friday
* On-call requirement of 1 weekend per month and 1 weekday of call
* Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
* Guaranteed hours subject to facility calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Round on both inpatient and outpatient individuals
* Service and troubleshoot cardiac mechanical support devices both inpatient and in clinic
* Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cardiac mechanical support devices
* Work with Durable MCS devices including HM 3, Heartware, and BrioVAD
* Work with IABP and Impella devices
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse required
* Minimum 1 year of clinical experience managing advanced heart failure patients preferred
* CTICU and VAD Coordinator experience is a plus
* Strong cardiac background with VAD, IABP, and Impella experience required
* Skills required: CVICU, Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), and Hemodynamic Monitoring
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN license in hand required
* Required certification: BLS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The organization provides advanced cardiac care services, including management of complex heart failure patients and mechanical circulatory support devices. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers comprehensive specialty support across inpatient and outpatient settings.
