Opportunity:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Details:

* Perform general nuclear medicine examinations in a hospital-based, acute care environment
* Conduct therapeutic procedures and PET/CT patient exams
* Provide on-call services as required
* Schedule may require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts
* Facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances
* Must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered
* Perform nuclear medicine quality control measures, patient exams, and procedures as requested by medical staff
* Assist radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures
* Complete documentation for all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
* Verify written and electronic orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of nuclear medicine exams
* Complete appropriate documentation for the administration, receipt, return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations
* Graduate of a CAHEA accredited program or equivalent required
* ARRT certification in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification required
* American Heart Association BLS certification required
* One year of post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred
