Opportunity:
Cath Lab
Job Details:
* Work shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with on-call responsibilities
* 8 to 10 days of call required within a 6-week period
* On-call coverage required when not in house
* Facility operates 2 Cath Lab suites and 1 vascular suite with an average of 22 total cases per day between Cath Lab and EP
* May start with 15 cases and take on as many as 15 add-on cases
* RN positions require cardiac procedural experience with ability to circulate, sedate, monitor, and document
* Tech positions require procedural experience with the ability to scrub, monitor, and document
* Circulating, prep, and recovery experience preferred
* Minimum of 2 years of experience required
* Experience with sedation and Phase 1 recovery required; ICU or PACU experience is a plus
* EPIC experience preferred
* Must have knowledge of IABP and Impella insertion
* Techs must have experience in both Cath Lab and EP
* May float to EP lab as all suites are part of a combined unit operating under a one-team approach
* Will often work past normal end time to complete all cases
* Common cases include right and left heart cath with or without intervention, structural heart and vascular cases, TAVR, and mitral clip procedures
* EMR and equipment includes EPIC, MacLab, and GE Imaging
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Unit-specific orientation is 1 week
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), ARRT, and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
* Techs must hold RCIS, RT, or RCES certification
* BSN not required
