Job Details:

* Night shift position on a Medical-Surgical unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Patient ratio of 1:5-6
* Every other weekend requirement
* Float requirement within scope as needed based on facility needs
* No on-call requirement
* Block scheduling considered on a case by case basis
* 25-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
* Mixed medical surgical patient diagnoses including wound care
* 2 years of experience preferred; open to reviewing candidates with 1+ years of experience
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* EPIC documentation system experience preferred
* Scrub color: Navy
* Required skills include: blood product administration, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care and management, heparin, insulin, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, telemetry remote monitoring, tracheostomy care/management, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a 25-bed Medical-Surgical unit providing comprehensive inpatient care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries. The facility utilizes EPIC as its primary documentation system and maintains a structured approach to patient care with consistent staffing ratios.
