Opportunity:
RN - Bone Marrow Transplant
Job Details:
* 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Every other weekend required
* On-call required
* Bone marrow transplant experience required; experience administering cells not required
* Charge experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC); OCN preferred
* Perform cell and gene therapy administration
* Administer blood products, chemotherapy, and conditioning treatments
* Provide supportive care administration and triage
* Skills include accessing and managing ports, central line care and blood draws, IV push administration of chemotherapy, PICC line care, infusion pump management, cytotoxic therapy, and management and disposal of cytotoxic spills
* Monitor and manage side effects including nausea/vomiting, neutropenic precautions, and anaphylaxis
* Work with patients diagnosed with hematologic malignancies including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and radiology
* Michigan nursing license must be in-hand at time of submission (compact license not accepted)
* 2 manager or supervisor references required; charge RN references not accepted
* No requested time off during the first week of contract
