Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* Shifts vary between 8, 10, and 12 hours and can be days, evenings, nights, and weekends/holidays
* Shifts vary between ASU and PACU units
* No guarantee of hours or shift preference
* On-call shifts 0-3 times per month (8-hour nights and 24-hour weekends/holidays)
* Care for patients pre-op, phase I, and phase II recovery
* Assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and track other indicators of stability or complications
* Demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and caring for patients in Phase I recovery
* Apply critical care skills in a post-anesthesia care setting
* Utilize equipment including Meditech, PCA Pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV Pumps, Cryocuff, SCDs, Bair PAWS Warmers, HP Monitors, and Phillips Monitors
* Minimum 2+ years of experience as a critical care RN (ER or ICU) in a hospital setting accepted as substitute for PACU experience
* Valid BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required
* Valid professional license within the state of practice required
* PALS credential from the American Heart Association recommended and may be required
* Other specialty-related certifications preferred and may be required (i.e., NIHSS and TNCC)
* Active State of Hawaii license required by start of assignment
