Opportunity:
Medical Assistant
Job Details:
* Temp to perm opportunity - complete a 13-week contract then transition to a full-time role with the facility
* 5 x 8-hour day shifts with no weekend requirement
* No on-call required
* Work within a Physiatry outpatient clinic serving an adult patient population
* Assist patients who may require physical assistance due to mobility or physical handicaps
* Support clinic services including Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), EMG (electromyography diagnostic testing), and Botox injections for pain management
* Perform rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, recording history/medications/allergies, and chart preparation
* Assist with wound care, suture removal, specimen labeling, height/weight measurements, pulse oximetry, and positioning/draping
* Handle scheduling appointments and authorization forms
* Float within scope as needed to meet facility needs
* Clinic operates approximately 10 visits per day across 14 rooms
* Interpretation services available as interdisciplinary support
* Clinician must have their own reliable transportation
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, MA-C or MA-R (MA-R will be endorsed by a provider at the clinic)
* EPIC charting experience highly preferred
* Experience with disabled adults, healthcare terminology, and adult outpatient clinics required
* Physiatry experience preferred
Facility:
This outpatient Physiatry clinic offers a comprehensive range of specialized rehabilitation and diagnostic services. The facility serves as a Center of Excellence for ALS and operates an Amputee Clinic, Wound Clinic, and an MDA Care Center. The clinic utilizes EPIC for charting and is equipped to support patients with a variety of complex physical and neurological conditions, providing a multidisciplinary and patient-centered care environment.
