Opportunity:

Medical Assistant - Physiatry Clinic

Job Details:

* 13-week travel assignment
* Schedule: 5 x 8-hour day shifts
* No weekend requirements
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* MA-C or MA-R certification required (MA-R will be endorsed by a provider at the clinic)
* BLS certification required
* Experience working in a Physiatry clinic preferred
* Experience working with disabled adults highly preferred
* Proficiency with EPIC charting system highly preferred
* Must have reliable personal transportation
* Skills required include: authorization forms, chart preparation, height/weight measurements, labeling of specimens, obtaining vital signs, positioning/draping, pulse oximetry, recording history/medications/allergies, rooming patients, scheduling appointments, suture removal, and wound care
* Work within an outpatient Physiatry clinic serving adult patients
* Clinic provides services including nerve conduction studies (NCS), EMG diagnostic testing, and Botox injections for pain management
* Patient ratio: 5 patients per day with approximately 10 visits per day across 14 rooms
* May be required to float between facilities within the state as needed within skillset
* Interpretation services available as interdisciplinary support

This outpatient Physiatry clinic is a comprehensive rehabilitation and physical medicine facility offering a wide range of specialized services. The clinic serves as a Center of Excellence for ALS and operates an Amputee Clinic, Wound Clinic, and MDA Care Center. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and is equipped to serve patients who may require physical assistance due to mobility or other disabilities.
