Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Rapid response assignment for 6 weeks with option to extend an additional 6 weeks at the same rate
* 48 hours required per week
* Work on a Labor and Delivery unit located on the 2nd floor of Building B in the Vintage Tower
* Unit includes 11 labor beds, 4 OB evaluation beds, 2 OB PACU beds, and 2 OR suites
* Patient ratios of 1 RN to 2 patients or 1 RN to 1 patient depending on acuity
* Day and night shifts available with 1 charge nurse, 10 staff nurses, and 2 OB Techs per shift
* Work with GE fetal monitoring equipment and EMR systems CPN and Meditech
* Perform typical procedures including NST, cervical exams, managing labor, titrating medications, and McRoberts maneuver
* AWHONN Fetal Monitoring competency required
* Must be able to perform couplet care when floated to Postpartum unit
* Over 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
* Transition Nurse/Baby Catching experience preferred
* Weekend availability required as needed
* On-call is not typically scheduled but may be required to fill coverage needs
* Dress code requires hospital infant security scrubs
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM - must be included in submission packet
* No special scheduling or RTO requests considered

This facility is a full-service community hospital offering comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services, including a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit. The unit is well-staffed with a team of experienced nurses, charge nurses, and OB technicians across both day and night shifts. The facility utilizes modern fetal monitoring technology and electronic medical record systems to support high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
