Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts with available shift times of Days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), Evenings (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM), and Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
* Every other weekend required; Nights cover Friday and Saturday, Days cover Saturday and Sunday
* May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
* Self-scheduling with travelers expected to remain flexible and fill gaps in permanent staff schedules; block scheduling is not accommodated
* Must be able to treat Adults, Pediatrics, and NICU patients
* Patient types include NICU Level IIB, MICU, Peds, Adults, Geriatrics, PACU treatments, and overnight oximetry
* Cover ER and inpatient areas across all floors
* Handle 25-28 treatments per day during an 8-hour shift
* Must be comfortable floating between all specialties including ICU, MICU, MS-Tele, and ER
* Preferred experience with Level II NICU, including comfort with attending deliveries and initiating CPAP
* Job duties include ABGs (radial or brachial), all respiratory treatments, and managing patients on respiratory equipment
* Assist with intubation only; independent intubation is not required
* Equipment used includes Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC
* May be asked to float to sister facilities approximately 10 to 14 miles away with a minimum 60-minute heads-up prior to the shift
* Optional call availability with a 30-minute response time requirement
* Scrub color is open to any color; must be clean and professional
* 1-2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor, typically including one day of NICU/General and one day of ICU
* Charting system: EPIC
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, PALS (AHA), Stable
* RRT required; CRT not accepted
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive respiratory therapy department covering a wide range of patient populations, including NICU Level IIB, MICU, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics. The department is supported by Intensivists, Hospitalists, and Anesthesia available in-house 24/7, with eICU support during nighttime hours. The facility maintains a well-staffed environment with supervisors and charge therapists on both day and night shifts to serve as resources and manage assignments.
