Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour rotating shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including days, nights, and weekends
* No on-call requirements
* Nurse to patient ratio is typically 4-5:1
* Care for medical patients ranging from early infancy through end of life
* Patient population includes telemetry, surgical, orthopedic, neurological, end of life, bariatric, and alcohol detox cases
* Telemetry patients may be present on the floor, monitored in conjunction with ICU
* May care for patients receiving chemotherapy on the floor
* Will not be required to float to other units
* Equipment used includes Pyxis medication dispensing, Meditech, Medscanning, bladder scanner, Accuein, IV and PCA pumps, SCDs, feeding pumps, NG tubes, ostomy, pain block pumps, AccuCheck, and wound vac
* Charting system: MEDITECH
* Required certification: BLS
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and Chemotherapy
* Minimum 6 months of recent Med Surg experience required
* BSN not required
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
* Training includes 8 hours with unit educator covering competencies and unit expectations, followed by 30 hours of preceptor training
