NICU RN
Job Details:
* Level III NICU position with approximately 190 births per month
* Weekend schedule every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs
* No on-call required
* No floating between like units; may float to Mother/Baby for babies if couplet experience applies
* Patient ratios up to 1:3, staffed by acuity
* 14-bed NICU unit
* Orientation: 36 hours
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 2 years of experience required with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
* Level III NICU experience required - hard stop
* Travel experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP Advanced
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Navy Blue (RNs)
* Free parking available
* Patient population includes neonates and infants with diagnoses such as prematurity, RDS, NAS, sepsis, hypoglycemia, and jaundice
* Required skills include central line management, PICC line management, arterial line management, bubble CPAP, high frequency ventilation/oscillators, therapeutic hypothermia, UAC/UVC management, neonatal dosage calculations, and titration of Dopamine, Dobutamine, Fentanyl, and Versed
* Special procedures include central lines, ROP exams, spinal taps, and intubations
* Special equipment includes CPAP, BIPAP, smart pumps, feeding pumps, isolettes, warmers, and high frequency ventilators/oscillators
* Community hospital experience required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO must be submitted at time of presentation; post-offer RTO may not be considered
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

The facility holds a CCS designation and provides interdisciplinary support through respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and unit secretaries. The NICU performs specialized procedures including central lines, ROP exams, spinal taps, and intubations, supported by advanced equipment and a team committed to high-quality neonatal care.
