Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Emergency department unit with 52 beds and 134 staff members
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod
* Patient ratios average 3:1, with low acuity at 5:1 and pediatric team nursing model
* Work with Alaris equipment and Meditech/CPN EMR system
* Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care
* Must scan patient medications every time as per unit expectations
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ED experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and CPI Blue Card
* ENPC certification preferred
* Meditech experience preferred
* Experience traveling to large facilities preferred
* Must be able to maintain pace in a fast-paced emergency department environment
* Must be adaptable, diverse, and able to learn quickly

This facility is a large acute care hospital featuring a fast-paced emergency department with 52 beds and a dedicated team of over 130 staff members. The unit utilizes modern Alaris equipment and Meditech/CPN electronic medical records to support comprehensive emergency care. The department serves a diverse patient population including pediatric cases and handles a wide range of procedures, making it an excellent environment for experienced emergency department nurses seeking a dynamic assignment.
