Open Position: RN - PCU Stepdown

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2160.52

Opportunity:

10 tower /NSD

Job Details:

* Work in a 30-bed unit with 22 acute care beds and 8 neuro stepdown beds
* Patient ratios: 6:1 on acute care side, 4:1 on neuro stepdown
* Weekend shifts required
* Experienced nurses can float after orientation
* Required certifications: BLS for acute care, BLS and ACLS for neuro stepdown
* Work with equipment including vital sign machines, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, various drips, Vapotherm, BiPAP, trachs, and cardiac drips
* Handle stroke patients and neurological conditions
* Perform procedures including lumbar punctures and chest tube placements
* Use Meditech documentation system
* Participate in bedside shift report, personal patient connections, and daily huddles
* Strong critical thinking skills and time management required
* Stepdown experience preferred for neuro stepdown assignments
* Dress code: black, any shade of blue, grey scrubs, or any color scrubs on Fridays
* Unit staffing includes 1 RN charge nurse, 1-2 techs, and unit secretary
* Excellent stepping stone unit for nurses wanting to advance to ICU
