Open Position: RN - Med Surg

Opportunity:

RN - Medical/Surgical (2 West)

Job Details:

* Work on a 30-bed medical/surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
* Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
* Block scheduling is not guaranteed
* Float between 2 North and 2 West units as needed
* Unit support includes 2-3 techs per shift, clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director
* Must be proficient with IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm recognition
* Advanced skill in cardiac rhythm interpretation required
* Experience with lab draws and IV starts required
* Equipment used includes wound vac, heparin drip, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, and telemetry
* Documentation system: Editech
* Required certification: BLS
* Dress code: Navy scrubs only; no fleece or sweatshirts permitted
* Must demonstrate a positive attitude, meet the needs of patients and families, perform service recovery as necessary, and escalate issues through the chain of command
