Opportunity:

ICU / Registered Nurse

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts per week
* Weekend shifts required
* 1.5 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Self-scheduling environment
* Required to float to CICU and other areas within the organization as needed
* Patient ratio of 2 patients per nurse
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* South Carolina nursing license required at time of submission - no pending licenses accepted
* 50-mile radius rule applies - locals accepted at local rate
* 2 supervisory references required
* Keep time off requests to a minimum, particularly during the first two weeks of assignment and for full calendar weeks
* Any time off must be approved and documented prior to start of assignment
* Expect to work some holidays
* Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, arterial line management, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), suctioning (ETT, NT), and isolation precautions/PPE
* Patient diagnoses include: GI bleed, COPD exacerbation, cardiac and respiratory arrest, overdose, suicide, CIWA/withdrawal, neurosurgical, surgical, post cardiac cath, end of life/comfort care, organ procurement, acute stroke, trauma, and targeted temperature management
* Special procedures include: CT tube insertion, EVD drains, CRRT, and acute stroke management
* Special equipment includes: CRRT, Zoll for targeted temperature management, and EKOS
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
