Opportunity:
RT (Respiratory Therapist)
Job Details:
* Night shift position working 36 hours per week
* Variable weekend schedule to cover shift holes, FMLA, and PTO
* Holiday coverage required
* No on-call or standby call requirements
* Oregon RRT license required
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, PALS, and RRT or CRT via NBRC
* Provide respiratory therapy services across entire hospital including ER, Med/Surg, CCU, and Family Birth Center
* Treat patients of all ages including adults, pediatrics, and neonates
* Perform ventilator, BiPAP, CPAP, and bubble CPAP management on newborns
* Administer breathing treatments, perform EKGs, and draw ABGs
* Assist with intubation (not required to intubate independently)
* Work with Draeger vents, V60 for BiPAP, ResMed for CPAP, and Vapotherm for high flow
* Chart using MEDITECH system
* Responsible for daily shift checks and billing of all procedures completed during shift
* Must be able to work independently as you will frequently be the only RT in-house
* Must be able to prioritize and move quickly as physical demands include walking 6-8 miles per shift
* Department-specific orientation consists of 3-6 shifts
* Scrub color requirement: royal blue
Facility:
This is a critical access hospital operating on a single level with an acute care setting. The facility includes a 5-bed CCU, an active Family Birth Center delivering approximately 35 babies per month, and a 24/7 emergency department. The respiratory therapy department currently operates with a small team of five RTs, making teamwork and independent functioning essential skills for this role.
