RN - ICU
Job Details:
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend coverage required
* Must be available to work every other holiday
* Pre-approved time off: two requests
* Cerner charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only accepted)
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit consists of 10 beds and 10 rooms with up to 8 visits per day
* Patient diagnoses include Medical ICU, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, respiratory failure, and substance withdrawal
* Special procedures include CRRT and prone positioning
* Special equipment includes CRRT, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz lines
* Required skills include but are not limited to: ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, CVVHD/CRRT, CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, traumatic brain injury care, and external ventricular drain management
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
* Active PA or Compact license required
* Two supervisor references preferred
