Opportunity:

Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Details:

* Provide physical therapy services to patients under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist (RPT) in accordance with agency policies and state practice
* Deliver treatments as prescribed by physician following initial and periodic evaluation of patient's physical therapy and rehabilitation needs established by RPT
* Treat patients within the plan of care developed with RPT to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance
* Utilize physical means of treatment including exercise, massage, heat, water, light, and electricity
* Direct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait and functional training, and activities of daily living including transfer activities and prosthetic training
* Operate equipment such as ultra-violet and infrared lamps, low voltage generation, diathermy, and ultrasonic machines
* Observe, record, and report patient reactions to treatment and changes in patient condition to the RPT
* Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques and activities as appropriate
* Complete and submit accurate clinical notes and required documentation in a timely manner in accordance with agency standards
* Associate's Degree in PTA required
* Must hold a valid New Hampshire and Vermont license
* Valid Driver's License and agency level auto insurance required
