Opportunity:
OT - Occupational Therapist
Job Details:
* Primary shift is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with hours potentially running 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
* 1-2 weekends per month required, which could include both days with time off before and/or after the weekend
* No on-call responsibilities required
* Inpatient setting covering acute care and rehabilitation
* Average caseload of 4-5 patients per day with 21 beds on the unit
* Perform evaluations, treatment interventions, team conferences, modalities, documentation, and FIM assessments
* Utilize computerized charting via EPIC as well as UE Bioness and Dynavision equipment
* Treat patients of all ages with varying diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, and general medical disorders
* Evaluate and treat medically complex and often medically unstable patients requiring critical thinking and ongoing assessment
* Must demonstrate knowledge of normal and abnormal vital signs, indications and contraindications, and awareness of vital medical equipment
* Must be able to manage high-volume caseloads and dynamic schedules requiring constant rescheduling and prioritization
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, discharge planning, and hand-off communication
* May be asked to supervise certified occupational therapist assistants, aides, and students
* Dress code: Business casual attire required, no jeans, modest attire expected; polo in colors ceil blue, khaki, gray, or chocolate brown also acceptable
* Orientation includes 1 to 2 days of specific computer documentation training with additional department-specific training over several days
* BLS certification required
* Trauma Level 1 facility
