RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Rotating day/night shift schedule with rotating weekends and holidays as needed
* Acute care setting with 30-bed unit
* Patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7, RN must be comfortable with ratio up to 1:7
* Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, rule-out cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
* Required to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results
* Telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians
* Intermittent BIPAP used on unit, no ventilators
* Charge RN on the floor with assignment
* PCTs available on the unit to support nursing staff
* Floating required as needed based on census, with external travelers floated first
* Up to 2 shift cancellations per 13-week contract
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* No standby or call requirement
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* Must submit a copy of unexpired driver's license with application
* Must be within a 50-mile radius
* Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
