Open Position: Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology

Opportunity:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Details:

* Day shift hours may shift slightly due to scheduled patients
* Call required once every 9 weeks
* On weekdays, call person stays late only if there is a late patient, typically done by 6:00 PM
* Weekend call coverage is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for GI bleeds, bio-leaks, VQs, and brain death cases
* Nuclear Medicine experience required
* PET/CT experience preferred but not required
* BLS certification required
* 2 years of experience required in specialty
* Provide care to patients in General Nuclear Medicine including routine studies such as Bones, Gastrics, Hepatos, Renals, and more
* If PET/CT trained, potential rotation through PET department
* Operate Siemens cameras including Symbias, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT
* Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and patient centeredness required
* Candidates may float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
* Compact or Kentucky State License required
* At least 1 reference required at time of submission

This facility is a large academic health system offering a wide range of specialty services and advanced medical care. The nuclear medicine department is equipped with modern Siemens imaging technology and supports both general nuclear medicine studies and PET/CT procedures. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and staffing compliance, with robust support systems across departments.
