Job Details:
* Night shift position on a Medical/Surgical unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Facility will allow 48 hours straight time
* Every other weekend (EOW) required
* Float required within scope, as needed based on facility needs
* Self-scheduling
* Patient ratios of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 30-bed unit with a daily census of 24
* Patients include adults and geriatrics
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Chest tubes, Colostomy/ileostomy management, CVA care, Feeding tube care, Heparin, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Insulin, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, Oxygen administration, PCA, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgical drains, Telemetry monitoring, Total joint replacement, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, and Wound Care/Wound Vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary

This medical facility operates a 30-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a strong interdisciplinary support team. The unit provides comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients and is supported by a range of ancillary services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility maintains a consistent patient ratio of 6:1 and offers a self-scheduling model to support work-life balance for its staff.
