RN - Dialysis

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM plus on-call responsibilities
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Patient ratios: 2 patients during days, 1 patient during nights and weekends
* Variable weekend shifts based on unit needs
* Perform hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis for inpatient population including at the bedside in other units
* Support and troubleshoot Tablo dialysis machines for hemodialysis and SLEDD in collaboration with ICU nurses
* Utilize Baxter Claria Homechoice machines for peritoneal dialysis
* May be required to orient new dialysis staff during shifts
* Treat patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Required skills include AV fistula and AV graft cannulation, acute care inpatient dialysis, peritoneal dialysis/CAPD, tunneled and non-tunneled catheter management, and various dialysis alarm troubleshooting
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
* Local travelers not accepted - 100-mile radius rule applies

This facility is a Level II trauma 200-bed hospital with Comprehensive Stroke and Chest Pain accreditation. The facility provides hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services to inpatients, both within a dedicated dialysis department and at the bedside across various units. The organization maintains a robust interdisciplinary support system and is equipped with modern dialysis technology to deliver high-quality patient care.
