L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP - must be in hand at time of submission
* FHM certification also required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Valid KS or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* Must reside outside of a 50-mile local radius; locals not accepted
* Float to postpartum unit required as needed
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Provide care for laboring patients including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
* Perform and assist with C-sections, External Cephalic Versions, and OB Triage
* Support postpartum patients and Level 2 Special Care Nursery patients
* Skills required include but are not limited to: magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, epidural anesthesia support, neonatal resuscitation, fetal heart monitoring, hemorrhage/shock management, and pre-eclampsia/eclampsia care

This facility operates a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit that provides comprehensive obstetric care including OB Triage, postpartum services, and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The unit is equipped to manage complex maternal and neonatal cases, supporting a wide range of procedures and conditions from gestations 34 weeks and beyond. The facility prioritizes interdisciplinary collaboration and maintains a strong commitment to quality patient outcomes for both mothers and newborns.
