Job Details:

* Work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with alternating weekends
* A comp day is provided during the week for any weekend days worked
* First to float as needed
* No on-call requirements
* Primary area of coverage is acute care with possible minimal coverage at a secondary acute care hospital
* Expectation of 1 completed evaluation per hour; PTs primarily perform evaluations at this site
* If seeing patients for daily treatments, expectation is 10 completed treatments in an 8-hour shift
* Common diagnoses include Level III trauma, telemetry, ortho, surgical, critical care, neuro, oncology, and general medical patients
* Patient population is mostly adults and older teens; pediatric patients are not treated at this facility
* New graduates will be considered if they have strong adult acute clinical experience including trauma and critical care
* Floor-specific orientation provided for 3 to 5 days depending on experience level with acute care
* Charting system: MEDITECH
* Maroon scrubs required
* Required certifications: BLS Certification
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

Facility:

This inpatient acute care facility operates as a Level III trauma center providing a wide range of specialized services including telemetry, orthopedics, surgical care, critical care, neurology, and oncology. The facility is supported by a robust rehabilitation team including physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and rehabilitation aides, and utilizes the MEDITECH electronic medical records system. The organization maintains a structured orientation program to ensure all providers are well-prepared for their roles.
