WNTR - L&D - 3x12 - 26 weeks - Nights

Job Details:

* 26-week contract working 3x12-hour night shifts
* Weekend shifts required to meet staffing needs
* Post-partum experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* California state license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
* Self-scheduling
* 40 orientation hours
* Float required within scope to meet facility needs; travelers are first to float
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Pre-approved time off limited to no more than 7 days
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, and adults
* Average daily census of 15?20 patients; up to 20 visits per day
* 11 rooms and 15 beds on unit
* Patient ratio experience of 1:3 required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Cares for high-risk OB patients and a culturally diverse population
* RNs circulate on cesarean sections
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
* Required skills include but are not limited to: Labor & Delivery, postpartum care, couplet care, newborn assessment, cesarean section circulation, magnesium sulfate therapy, external and internal fetal monitoring, epidural anesthesia, Pitocin administration, postpartum hemorrhage management, pregnancy-induced hypertension, neonatal abstinence syndrome, breastfeeding/lactation support, IV insertion and management, and use of infusion pumps

Facility:

This facility is a high-acuity healthcare organization serving a culturally diverse patient population with a focus on obstetric care. The Labor & Delivery unit supports high-risk OB cases, with registered nurses actively circulating on cesarean sections. The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
