Opportunity:

Infectious Disease Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)

Job Details:

* 5x8-hour shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* No weekend or on-call requirements
* This is a temp-to-hire opportunity open to local and non-local candidates
* Must be a certified Medical Assistant (MA-C); MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT credentials are not accepted
* Minimum 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult outpatient clinic setting required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Will remain at the same location every day; no floating between units
* Scrub color: Any color
* Required certifications: BLS, CMA
* Required license: MA-C
* Vital signs skills required: height/weight, 12-lead EKG/ECG, vital signs, pulse oximetry, and vision testing
* Exam preparation skills required: positioning/draping and recording history, medications, and allergies
* Procedure setup and assist skills required: dressing changes, pap smears, and aseptic/sterile procedure tray setup
* Injection skills required: immunizations, intradermal, and intramuscular
* Specimen collection skills required: labeling specimens, sputum, stool, throat, urine (UA/clean catch), vaginal, and wound
* Laboratory test skills required: strep and urine dipstick/urinalysis
* Office duties required: authorization forms, chart preparation, insurance verification, ordering supplies, pharmacy calls and patient refill requests, scheduling appointments, stocking supplies, and telephone triage
* Professional skills required: administering medication, TB test administration, aseptic technique, follow-up phone calls, reviewing lab tests, rooming patients, suture removal, and wound care

This infectious disease clinic provides specialized outpatient care for adult patients, offering a focused and collaborative clinical environment. The facility supports a comprehensive range of diagnostic and treatment services and utilizes Epic as its charting system. The team is dedicated to delivering high-quality infectious disease care within a structured weekday schedule.
