Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
* Emergency Department on the 1st floor of the Main Building
* 40-bed unit averaging 145 patients daily
* Patient ratio of 4:1
* Minimum 1-2 years of current acute care ED RN experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ALS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI Blue Card
* Trauma Level 1 or Level 2 experience preferred
* Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred
* Perform rapid assessments (ESI Triage), comprehensive nursing assessments, and focused reassessments
* Conduct pain assessment and management, sepsis screening and interventions, and stroke screening and interventions
* Participate in trauma Level 1 and Level 2 activations and interventions, MCI response, and procedural sedation
* Provide pediatric emergency care and behavioral health crisis intervention
* Perform vital sign monitoring, EKG, defibrillation, IV insertion, blood collection, and medication administration
* Assist with sutures, staples, wound care, and splinting
* Operate equipment including IV pumps, EKG machines, ultrasound machines, Belmont, Lifepack, and GE Transport Monitors
* Work alongside a team of RNs, Paramedics, EMTs, Nurse Externs, and Unit Secretaries
* Ideal candidate is an experienced ER nurse who is a team player, motivated, and patient-care focused

Facility:

This facility operates a busy 40-bed Emergency Department staffed by a diverse team of approximately 110 professionals including RNs, Paramedics, EMTs, Nurse Externs, and Unit Secretaries. The department is equipped with modern technology including IV pumps, EKG machines, ultrasound machines, Belmont rapid infusers, Lifepack monitors, and GE Transport Monitors, and utilizes the Meditech electronic medical records system. The unit is capable of handling a wide range of emergencies from trauma activations to pediatric care and behavioral health crises.
