Opportunity:
RRT - Adult Critical Care/ED
Job Details:
* 5 years of experience preferred as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
* Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience required
* Weekend coverage required
* Will accept first-time travelers
* Patients include adults and geriatrics
* Charting system: Cerner
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Float within facility within scope of practice may be required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, RRT
* Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, aerosol setup (mask and trach), BiPAP, CPAP, bronchoscopy, chest physiotherapy, drawing arterial blood gases, ET tube management, extubation, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), inhaled medications (Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Pulmicort, Spiriva, Mucomyst, Racemic Epinephrine), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), intubation assist, nitric oxide (INo), pulmonary hygiene, SIMV, sputum specimen collection, suctioning (ETT and NT), tracheostomy care and management, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, ultrasonic nebulizer, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
* Interdisciplinary support includes Respiratory Services and Rapid Response Teams
* Valid Maryland or Compact license required at time of submission
* Copy of certifications required
* References required
