Opportunity:
RN - Intermediate Care Unit
Job Details:
* Work 3x12 night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required
* Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
* Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
* Required to pass an ECG/Telemetry exam including reading and interpreting rhythm strips - failure will result in contract termination
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Nevada RN license required
* Care for patients experiencing severe but non-life-threatening conditions requiring moderately complex assessments and interventions
* Patient population includes post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory cases
* Work in an 18-bed IMCU unit within a fast-paced environment
* May be required to float to other areas of the organization up to competency level
* May be required to work major holidays and must pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
* Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends and holidays
* Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Eve + Day counts as 1 holiday)
Facility:
This facility is the region's only Level II Trauma Center, serving a 500-mile radius and treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually. Operating with the volume and pace of a Level I trauma center, the facility features 800 inpatient beds and two emergency rooms. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital and offers comprehensive services including robotic surgery, neurosciences, and heart and cancer care. Notable achievements include the region's first accredited heart failure center, first Institute for Neurosciences, and first low-dose CT imaging, along with state-of-the-art technologies including the Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System and dedicated PET/CT scanner.
