Opportunity:

RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* No call requirement but may need to be on standby
* Will be scheduled into holiday rotation with permanent staff
* 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided
* Required certifications: ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* Must be able to circulate for C-sections, scrubbing experience preferred
* Nursing ratios: 2:1 for laboring patients following AWOHNN guidelines, 1:4 for couplet care
* Must float to postpartum as needed
* Work with electronic medical record system Cerner and Fetal Link monitoring system
* Care for patients with various gestational ages, antepartum conditions, high-risk deliveries, substance abuse cases, pre-eclampsia, and insulin-dependent diabetics
* Scrub colors: Navy for postpartum, seal blue for L&D (provided)
* BSN degree not required
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Facility:

This acute care facility features a comprehensive maternal and newborn services department with 14 labor and delivery beds, 6 triage beds, 2 OR suites, and 28 postpartum beds. The facility handles approximately 250 births per month and provides Level 3 trauma services. The unit is equipped with modern technology including Phillips telemetry and Fetal Link monitoring systems, with 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services available to support patient care.
