Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Night shift position with 36 or 48-hour weekly schedules available
* Recent emergency department experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required, with 3 or more years preferred
* Block scheduling and special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated - staffing is based on department needs
* Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
* Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
* Coordinate care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment
* Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues
* Develop and implement care plans that prescribe interventions to attain outcomes
* Evaluate progress toward attaining patient outcomes and identify care goals
* Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and caring patient care
* Provide health information and education to patients, families, and treatment team
* Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
* Delegate and coordinate duties of healthcare team members appropriately
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
* Acute care facility experience: Preferred
* Required certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS, AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS, AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required
