Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Work on a 29-bed postpartum unit on the 5th floor
* Patient ratios of 3-4 couplets per RN
* Night shift includes 1 charge nurse and 1 desk PCT with RNs based on census
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care postpartum hospital experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and NRP
* High risk postpartum experience preferred
* Level 2 Nursery experience preferred
* Perform POC glucose monitoring, breastfeeding support, postpartum hemorrhage management, circumcision assistance, and hypertension assessment and management
* Work with equipment including Welch Allen vitals machines, CPN monitors, and POC glucose monitoring devices
* EMR system: Meditech and CPN
* Must follow HCA ICARE standards of behavior
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to stay busy in a high-volume environment required
* Flexible scheduling available

Facility:

This medical center operates a busy postpartum unit that delivers between 400 and 500 babies per month. The unit is a close-knit team of nurses and PCTs focused on high-risk postpartum patients, with low-risk patients cared for at a separate free-standing LDRP facility located across the street. The facility emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and maintains a collaborative environment with strong staff support systems in place.
