Opportunity:

Interventional Radiology Tech

Job Details:

* 37.5 hours per week
* On-call required every 3rd weekend
* Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Epic charting system experience required
* Must float within skillset without exception
* Hospital-provided scrubs (green/teal)
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT(R)
* Required license: NJ Radiologic Technologist License
* Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Work in Interventional Radiology, Pediatric IR, Hybrid OR, and Special Procedures settings
* Perform fluoroscopy, 3D imaging, equipment setup, prep access site, scrub and maintain sterile field, and use PACS
* Perform visceral and vascular angiography including adrenal, mesenteric, pelvic, renal, pulmonary, selective visceral, aortography, inferior/superior vena cavagram, and percutaneous hepatic angiography
* Perform angioplasty, stent and endograft placement, embolization including radioembolization and chemoembolization, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and IVC filter placement and removal
* Manage venous and central access including ports, PICC lines, and line care and maintenance
* Perform IR procedures including radiofrequency ablation of the liver, liver biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tube and gastrostomy tube placement, esophageal stent placement, ERCP, cholecystostomy, catheter/drain exchange, and cystoscopy
* Perform diagnostic catheterizations for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
* Perform hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac stent placement, Impella insertion, and scrub procedures
* Maintain equipment and inventory, stock supplies, and follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
* Utilize Rapid Response and Code teams as needed

This 665-bed quaternary care teaching hospital is affiliated with a major New Jersey medical school and is nationally recognized for its cardiac and transplant programs, including one of the nation's largest heart transplant centers and the state's only Advanced Lung Disease and Transplant Program. The facility provides comprehensive Interventional Radiology services, performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures for a high-acuity patient population across vascular, oncologic, and complex medical conditions, including cardiac and transplant cases. It is part of the state's largest integrated healthcare system.
